More than just monohull rigging.

C.L. Rigging works extensively with both monohulls and multihulls, bringing the same hands-on approach and attention to detail to each.

Whether you’re maintaining an existing catamaran, evaluating an aging rig, preparing for extended cruising or planning a significant upgrade, C.L. Rigging can help assess the system and determine the right approach for your boat.

Multihull Systems

Catamaran rigging requires a different eye.

Catamaran rigs often use different load paths and support systems than traditional monohulls. Depending on the boat and rig configuration, C.L. Rigging evaluates components specific to multihulls, including:

  • Forestay load paths, bridles and forward beam connections
  • Diamond stays, spreaders, tangs and mast support
  • Mast step, mast base and crossbeam interfaces
  • Shroud, chainplate, terminal and turnbuckle connections at each hull
  • Furlers, halyard leads and sail-handling systems
  • Bowsprits, prodders and downwind sail hardware
  • Self-tacking jib and traveler hardware
  • Mast rotation systems and controls, where fitted
  • Corrosion, movement, cracking, wear and improper alignment
